We are currently seeking a Director, Growth Marketing to join our Global Professional business.
Your impact on the team:
The Director, Growth Marketing will be the strategic and operational lead for driving awareness and interest for our new digital subscription products across McGraw Hill Professional’s global medical student markets. In this role, you will oversee product-market fit testing, student engagement targeted at B2B enablement, eCommerce tracking, and website leadership for our business unit. The work in this role blends full-funnel social marketing, user insights, content, product feedback, and website optimization to scale the business through a direct-to-student (D2S) and B2B-enabled approach. You will be working collaboratively across Sales, Marketing and Product teams within the business unit and with shared website service Centre of Excellence (COE). You will also lead and coordinate MHP’s strategic approach to the website, eCommerce and student influencer programs working in partnership with key stakeholders.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a bias towards experimentation and execution that will work collaboratively across a matrixed environment. If you have an analytical mindset and can balance data with empathy and brand strategy, we would like to meet you.
This role reports to the Vice President of Marketing & International Sales and works remotely from a home office. Travel is required up to 25 percent of the year for events and meetings. Candidates may reside in North America or Great Britain. Candidates that reside in the Central Time Zone and Eastern Time Zone are highly preferred.
What you will be doing:
Student Engagement & B2B Enablement
- Drive the strategy for student engagement by leveraging a deep understanding of the medical student journey and grow user adoption to drive B2B value through student usage at partner institutions.
- Lead organic content strategy, influencer collaborations, community-building, and interactive campaigns.
- Promote learning tool integrations (e.g., Anki) and produce high-impact social/influencer content.
- Host and manage virtual events and webinars targeting student audiences.
- Track and optimize engagement through clear, data-driven KPIs.
Website Strategy & Maintenance
- Serve as the Business Unit (BU) strategic lead for website oversight, content accuracy, analytics, and enhancements.
- Serve as the single point of contact and act as liaison with the Center of Excellence (COE) for scope of work creation, ticket management, and analytics reporting.
- Ensure accurate global representation of products and brand messaging on MHEducation.com.
- Monitor site performance, resolve issues, and inform the roadmap for future developments.
Product-Market Fit Acceleration
- Use D2S marketing strategies to test and validate new product concepts and guide product development.
- Design rapid experiments to collect behavioral data and provide real-time feedback to Product teams.
- Capture and analyze student behavior trends, study habits, and preferences to ensure offerings meet their evolving needs.
B2C Revenue Generation
- Develop high-impact promotions, subscription bundles, and seasonal discount campaigns.
- Use conversion-focused tactics to move engaged students to purchase.
- Optimize the full eCommerce funnel to support top-line revenue growth while maintaining ROAS goals.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree, Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in B2C digital marketing and customer acquisition.
- 5+ years of experience managing high-performing marketing teams.
- Proven track record of using growth marketing frameworks to drive revenue and user adoption.
- Deep expertise across digital channels: organic, paid, influencer, mobile, email, SEO, lifecycle marketing.
- Strong experience with analytics, A/B testing, and marketing automation platforms such as Marekto automation and Adobe Marketing Suite (web and analytics).
- Excellent understanding of UX/UI, conversion optimization, and site/content strategy.
- Familiarity with ecommerce CMS platforms and experience in managing and maintaining websites.
- Background in EdTech, publishing, or digital subscription businesses strongly preferred.
The approximate pay range for this position in the United States is between $100,000 - 150,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan is included as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
