 POSITION SUMMARY:
 The Director of Admissions is responsible for assisting the campuses in attaining admissions goals, in particular inquiry conversion to enrollments, and enrollments to new student matriculation at plan. The Director of Admissions must assure that the South University philosophy is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and maintenance of an environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion.
 
 KEY JOB ELEMENTS:
 1. Collaborate with Assistant Vice Chancellor of Admissions to establish forecasts to ensure planned new student targets are met.
 2. Assure adequate staffing levels and productivity through effective personnel management. This includes but is not limited to selection and hiring of employees coupled with their being trained, developed, motivated, and effectively managed. This includes enrollment teams receiving regular feedback, observation and support.
 3. Responsible for achieving conversions of inquiry to applicant; and applicant to new student standards.
 4. Monitor expenses to assure budget compliance.
 5. Contribute to marketing plans to support inquiry conversion and applicant lock-in.
 6. Ensure compliance with all SU policies and procedures, ethical standards, and compliance with all federal, state and accreditation requirements.
 7. Partner with other EC members, faculty and staff to assure a vibrant perpetual student recruitment environment.
 8. Other duties as assigned.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 1. Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a business or sales related discipline.
 2. Minimum of 3 years admissions advising experience is required for all external applicants. Internal South University Senior Admissions representatives will be considered with 2 years of experience in admissions.
 3. Minimum of 2 years of management experience. Preference will be given to managers that have higher education experience.
 4. Minimum of one year as a Sr. Admissions Representative and completion of the Manager Certificate Program. This may be substituted for the management experience listed in number 3.
 5. Demonstrated experience in hiring and building a successful team is preferred. Proven experience in meeting/exceeding sales goals and developing strategies.
 6. Experience managing employee relations issues/concerns is preferred.
 7. Serve effectively as a member of a team.
 8. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekends as required.
 
 ACCOUNTABILITY:

 ABILITY TO TRAVEL:
 The individual must be able to travel locally, for community outreach, and out of the area to the corporate office or other offsite locations for a variety of conferences and meetings
