Highlights

Lead and manage inpatient and outpatient coding functions including ICD-10, CPT, DRG validation, and coding audits.
Ensure compliance with federal and state coding and billing regulations and payer requirements.
Oversee clinical documentation integrity, revenue cycle performance, and medical record accuracy.
Collaborate with clinical, physician, HIM, compliance, revenue cycle, and administrative leadership.
Strong knowledge required of ICD-10 Official Coding Guidelines, UHDDS definitions, AMA CPT and Modifier rules, and Medicare NCD/LCD documentation requirements.
Project management skills and proficiency with coding technology systems, including EPIC expertise in coding and workflow routing.
CCS certification and extensive coding experience with at least 7 years of related work and 3+ years in management leadership roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field, or equivalent experience/training.
Knowledge of CMS HCC hierarchies, risk adjustment models, and population health metrics like PQRS, MIPS, and VBM.
Excellent leadership, fiscal management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
