Job Description | The Director of Corporate Partnerships & Employer Relations is responsible for leading Falk College’s employer engagement strategy, corporate partnership development, and experiential learning infrastructure. This role serves as the college’s primary liaison to employers and industry partners and provides strategic oversight of internship placement and industry engaged career services functions. The position supervises staff responsible for internship coordination and industry relations to ensure consistent, equitable, and policy aligned delivery of experiential learning opportunities.
Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in one of the college’s disciplines and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in increasingly responsible positions in business, nonprofit, government agency or higher education is required. Experience in higher education, nonprofit or sport industry preferred. Demonstrated experience in building relationships; knowledge of corporate or alumni relations preferred.
Skills and Knowledge | Strong interpersonal, technical, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, administrators, industry professionals, and corporate partners. Expert political acumen to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout a complex organization and with external constituencies. Experience mentoring/advising college students and supporting their academic and career development. Strong supervisory skills and proven ability to lead teams, implement strategic initiatives and assess outcomes. Commitment to student success and innovation in sport and health education.
Responsibilities | Leads the development, implementation, and stewardship of corporate and employer partnerships that support internships, applied learning experiences, and workforce pipelines aligned with Falk College academic programs. Serves as the primary Falk College point of contact for employer and industry engagement related to experiential learning and talent development. Collaborates with institutional partners to coordinate external outreach and ensure alignment with university partnership policies and priorities. Ensures partnership activities are documented and aligned with institutional agreements and compliance requirements. Provides strategic oversight for experiential learning delivery, including internships and employer-connected applied learning opportunities. Ensures consistent processes, equitable access, and clear outcomes for experiential learning across programs. Assesses participation and outcomes to support continuous improvement and reporting to college leadership. Supervises Internship Placement Coordinators and the Industry Relations & Career Services Manager. Provides direction, performance management, and professional development aligned with experiential learning and employer engagement goals. Ensures staff roles and workflows are clearly defined and aligned to avoid duplication with holistic advising and student success functions. Coordinates staffing models and operational practices to support efficient, student-centered service delivery. Maintain a limited advising caseload focused on career-aligned academic planning, experiential learning pathways, and internship readiness. Supports students in identifying and navigating experiential learning opportunities aligned with degree requirements and professional goals. Coordinates with academic advising units to maintain clear role boundaries and avoid duplication with holistic advising services.
