The Role
We are looking for a Director of Partner Operations and Engagement to lead our Operations team supporting ReUp’s more than 180 college and university partners.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the entire partner lifecycle—from onboarding and implementation to performance tracking, optimization, and account reporting. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, marketing, partner success, finance, and product) and external partners to ensure seamless execution of account onboarding and data tracking.
A successful Director of Partner Operations and Engagement is process-oriented and has a keen eye for details, process, and building team scalability. They are curious, conscientious, and collaborative, and an eager problem solver. As part of post sales implementation, your team is the first line of support in the implementation process ensuring a strong start for partners including the set up of data transfers, ensuring institutional knowledge transfers happen for cross departmental launches, and ongoing back-end operational support. This ongoing support includes: management and data ingestion of new student lists, providing relevant reporting and insights, and troubleshooting issues. You will also contribute to finding ways to leverage partner information and the data they share to inform ReUp’s work and provide strategic recommendations to partners.
The ideal candidate combines deep operational experience with a strong understanding of client needs and has a proven ability to manage data-heavy workflows and streamline internal processes, all while building scalable processes and teams through change. While experience in education technology or higher education settings is preferred, demonstration of building scalable data heavy implementations is required.
What We Do
Founded in 2015, ReUp Education is the only organization that focuses exclusively on helping colleges and universities engage and re-enroll the more than 43 million US residents who have “stopped out” and support them until graduation, through our technology-enabled service. To date, we have re-enrolled nearly 57,000 students for our university partners. Today we build regional marketplaces to connect the supply of educational opportunities with the demand for skilled and credentialed workforce professionals.
What You’ll Do
As the Director of Partner Operations and Engagement, you will oversee the teams responsible for implementations and ongoing day-to-day operations of ReUp’s college and university partners, which involves but is not limited to:
Department strategy and team development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 7-8 people with a strong focus on accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Set clear priorities and direction to ensure the team consistently meets implementation goals and delivers exceptional service
- Develop and implement solutions for scaling operations to successfully manage ReUp’s rapidly growing client base of higher education partners
- Communicate updates and coordinate work with multiple departments across the company to meet operational goals.
Project management, client implementations, client management, and troubleshooting
- Own the operational management of partner implementations by driving alignment across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Build strong relationships as part of the implementation and onboarding process with partner contacts at institutions to understand their needs, anticipate challenges, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Collaborate with Learner Services, Marketing, Product, and other teams ensuring they are equipped with key partner information related to student outreach and support
- Ensure clear communication across departments regarding term start dates, academic calendars, and partner readiness to launch
Data processing, reporting, and list management
- Manage project timelines and team workflows related to student list processing and key implementation milestones, including lists from new partners and newly eligible lists from existing partners
- Support the team creating reports for clients, including annual partnership reviews and ongoing enrollment reporting, translating complex operational data into client-friendly narratives and visualizations
- Collaborate with and support the team that analyzes partner data and reporting to generate insights and recommendations for clients
- Partner to build towards automated data and reporting solutions to support rapid growth
Resource development and client experience
- Support the Partner Success (account management team) in elevating ReUp’s client experience through new value-add tools (partner app) and initiatives
- Develop and manage a team that provides partner-specific insights and recommendations, including best practices for serving adult learners
- Collaborate with Partner Success and Marketing to develop materials that highlight and merchandise unique partner attributes, such as flexible programs and scholarship opportunities
- Support the development and ongoing use by clients of ReUp’s new partner-facing platform for reporting and insights

- Bachelor’s degree or above
- 7+ years of professional experience in client operations and implementations, with at least 2–3 years managing growing teams.
- Strong project management skills and comfort operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency in tools (e.g., Asana; Jira; Salesforce) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack; Confluence).
- Data-driven decision maker with a strong analytical mindset and experience setting up and managing data sets.
- Proven ability to scale and build processes, lead change management initiatives and implement cross-functional improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scaling partner operations in a high-growth SaaS, EdTech, or B2B company.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay is $120,000 - $150,000 per year commensurate with experience and is eligible for up to a 10% annual bonus based on individual and company performance

Location
If located in the Austin, TX, metro area this will be a hybrid position, located in Austin, TX with an expected 2-3 days in office weekly.
