This position plays a crucial role in leading the Americas People Operations team which requires strategic planning and active engagement, focusing on enhancing the overall employee experience within Benefits, HR Compliance, and Employee Relations. Additionally, the role serves as a collaborative thought partner to global senior leaders with a responsibility to positively impact organizational health.
Please note: The internal title will be Director, People Partner and Site Lead and the internal level will be Director

Core Responsibilities
Benefits Management:
- Develop and lead comprehensive benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks in close collaboration with our Global Rewards team.
- Evaluate and compare existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing plans, surveys, and additional sources of information.
- Ensure benefits programs are competitive, efficient, and aligned with company goals and employee needs.
- Partner with benefits providers and brokers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
HR Compliance:
- Ensure the organization’s HR policies and practices are in accordance with employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting HR compliance and implement adjustments to policies and procedures when needed.
- Conduct regular audits of HR practices to maintain compliance and identify areas for process improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and managers on compliance-related topics.
Employee Relations:
- Create and implement employee relations strategies to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Act as the primary contact for employee relations managers and ensure policies are applied fairly and consistently.
- Provide guidance and support to evolve employee relations matters, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other People, Places, and Culture (PPC) leaders and departments to align PPC initiatives with organizational goals.
- Collaborate in the planning process as people and culture strategies and initiatives develop globally.
People Partner and Site Lead:
- Lead impactful deployment of core People Activities, through collaborating with our Communities of Excellence, such as recruitment, talent management, headcount governance, and organizational design. Continuously assess the efficiency of each, communicate feedback, and make necessary adjustments.
- Facilitate the employee engagement agenda with senior leadership by identifying positive drivers and areas of opportunity to consistently deliver high employee motivation, satisfaction, and engagement.
- Action people related challenges and opportunities by addressing business, consumer, and shopper problems. Cultivate constructive dialogue that promotes a unified approach with the business.
- Provide a safe space for leaders (and leadership teams) to learn, grow, and evolve with the workforce so that they can unlock the full potential of the organization by demonstrating the LEGO Leadership Playground.
- Uncover, interpret, and use data to identify the root cause of challenges and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Encourage and empower leaders to cultivate a change-ready organization. Share insights and information openly, encouraging a culture of knowledge exchange and growth that fosters a diverse and inclusive work environment for all colleagues.
- Challenge business leaders by offering views and insights that they might not otherwise see or consider.
- Establish yourself as a champion for LEGO values and culture, helping to foster an inclusive environment as we increase our presence in Boston.
- Provide informal leadership for others with responsibility for the success of the Boston office.
- Collaborate closely with the LEGO Ways of Working team to optimize the physical space and culture in the Boston office.
Play your part in our team succeeding
In close collaboration with the Head of People Partnering for the Americas, this role will lead and shape the areas of Benefits, HR Compliance, and Employee Relations. It will also act as a People Partner to a senior leader and their leadership team, supporting a global organization, while serving as the People, Places, and Culture site lead for our Boston HUB. This position requires both strategic foresight and hands-on involvement to enhance the employee journey and support the People Operations team effectively.
Additionally, this role will involve coaching and collaborating with senior leaders on critical people initiatives, including employee motivation and satisfaction, capability building, leadership development, and overall organizational health.
Success in this position demands extensive knowledge and experience in the Human Resources field. The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership skills, the ability to facilitate strategic conversations confidently, and a keen understanding of local, regional, and global nuances. They must also excel in managing competing priorities.
As a People Leader within the Americas People Partnering team, you will play a pivotal role in fostering organizational health across the Americas Region. Your efforts will ensure that the business is well-prepared to achieve its strategic goals and aspirations, ultimately enabling us to reach more children and inspire the builders of tomorrow. Your leadership will be key in driving success and nurturing a thriving workplace culture.
Do you have what it takes?
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on benefits management, HR compliance, and employee relations.
- 7+ years of experience partnering with senior level leaders (VP+) to ensure the people agenda is aligned to commercial business priorities, including experience acting as a coach, challenger, and trusted advisor.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading teams and fostering their professional growth.
- Accomplished People Partner with a proven track record of influencing within a global organization, leveraging effective communication channels and fostering strong partnerships.
- Proficient in transforming data into actionable insights that inform proposals and influence decision-making within the People, Places & Culture (PPC) domain, effectively addressing and solving business challenges.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations across federal, state, and municipal levels.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities paired with effective conflict resolution skills.
- Boston office-based position; minimum commutable days to office is three days per week.

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $156,432.00 - $234,648.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
