Description | Reporting to the Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, the Program Coordinator provides support and coordination for the Program Director, Clinical Education, physical therapy faculty, staff, and students. The Program Coordinator supports program personnel, students, and initiatives and works closely with the program, department, and dean’s office to help achieve goals and objectives. This is an onsite position, work for this role will be performed on campus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: As directed by the Program Director, supports Clinical Education activities of the Director of Clinical Education, including correspondence with placement sites, facilitation of clinical placement affiliations, assistance with the clinical clearance process for student placements, and management of the Exxat Document Management Program. Assists faculty with the organization of supporting materials and appendices for accreditation reporting, outcomes assessment, and clinical compliance. Coordinates equipment/technology for program courses and activities, including maintaining a master inventory database. Assists faculty with conference services, open houses and other events. As directed by the Program Director, assists faculty and committees with other initiatives, activities and special projects (e.g., student recruitment and admissions, organization of DPT class schedule). Serves as a liaison between DPT and offices, organizations, or groups on and off campus. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 2 years of related administrative experience. Demonstrated ability to plan and manage complex projects. Strong administrative skills. Extremely well-organized. Capable of working well both independently and as part of a team dedicated to achieving excellence. Ability to work as partners with faculty and with students. High degree of judgment and discretion. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, faculty, and students. Astute and able to recognize issues of concern as they arise, and able to make recommendations to the faculty for solutions and program enhancements. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Demonstrated commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.
Preferred Qualifications | Master’s degree preferred. Previous experience using university learning management systems.
