At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Inglewood, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Inglewood, CA

Details:

  • In-Person Tutoring in Inglewood, CA
  • Schedule: 10 hours per month, 1 session for 1.15 hrs
  • Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

  • Valid teaching credential required (Early Childhood or Special Education preferred)
  • Experience working with young children with autism and nonverbal learners
  • Strong background in early foundational skills, including alphabet knowledge, phonics, sight words, colors, shapes, and numbers
  • Experience supporting early handwriting and fine motor development
  • Skilled in phonemic awareness and early literacy instruction
  • Ability to provide structured, firm, and consistent instruction while remaining warm and engaging
  • Experience managing behaviors such as frustration, screaming, and task avoidance
  • Patient, calm, and confident in setting clear expectations and boundaries
  • Skilled in using play-based, interactive, and repetitive teaching strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct an initial tutor assessment to determine current developmental and academic levels

  • Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers regarding progress and strategies
