Description
Editorial assistant and assistant to the editorial director of Wednesday Books and Saturday Books. The applicant will assist in all aspects of the publication of a busy list of books, in addition to assisting in the basic operations required to run two imprints, including scheduling meetings, running reports, organizing imprint events, arranging travel itineraries and keeping track of schedules.
What you'll do:
- All aspects of moving a book through the production process, including transmittals, routing, and keeping track of a book’s schedule
- Cover copy
- Populating tip and launch sheets
- Author relations
- Ordering books
- Author and imprint events
What you'll bring:
- Strong communication skills, including strong author relations skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Time management skills; work should be done in a timely manner; responses to emails should be done in a timely manner.
- Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
- Strong writing skills
Ideal Experience:
- Office experience not required, but helpful.
This role will have an annual salary of $50,000.
