Job Summary  | This termed-position Education Project Researcher will contribute to the investigation of how teachers approach the integration of computer science (CS), and in particular, artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity components, into their existing curricula.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities  | Manage the curriculum mapping workflow and version control of lesson sequences K–8. Coordinate lesson drafting, classroom pilots, iterative refinement, and packaging. Maintain the open resource repository and public project website. Organize and manage all PD events. Coordinate the teacher-leader mentorship model (modeling, coaching, scaffolding, articulation, reflection, exploration). Orchestrate the project timeline (pilot to full implementation), maintaining detailed work plans, shared calendars, agendas. Serve as day-to-day point of contract for districts, schools, teacher-leaders (K-8), vendors, and project team; track MOUs and project deliverables. Produce participant communications, meeting minutes, and action trackers. Support dissemination (conference/workshop proposals, website updates, resource spotlights); maintain a publications/presentations tracker and citation library. Prepare internal weekly status notes and monthly PI highlights; compile sponsor-ready quarterly/annual reports (narrative + tables/metrics), with artifacts and evidence. Document success stories and impact (e.g., teacher learning trajectories, student opportunities) with visuals and brief case write-ups. Collect and maintain all research data. Coordinate research efforts with project team, including external evaluator. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications  | Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field Two (2) years of curriculum development and providing professional develop mentor an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role. Experience in AI and cybersecurity. Previous Experience working on a research project and working in online collaborative platforms. Experience in teaching and learning standards for K-8.
Preferred Qualifications  | PhD in Curriculum & Instruction or a related field. Teacher certification, in any field. Expertise in South Carolina teaching and learning standards for K-8. Degree is attained from an R1 or R2 Research Institution. Experience as a contributor to a funded research project.
