Posting Summary
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence Leader in Human Resources, the Employee Career Services Partner will play a pivotal part in building and launching UVM’s internal mobility and career advancement program. The individual in this position will develop and implement a scalable, sustainable framework for career coaching, professional development guidance, and job search support to help employees navigate internal mobility opportunities, prepare for promotions, and identify roles that align with their skills and career aspirations.

This position will work closely with HR Partner, Talent Development, and Classification & Compensation teams to create and promote clear pathways for career progression at UVM, fostering employee engagement, retention, and professional fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities: Design and launch a new internal career services program aligned with UVM’s job architecture and employee development goals. Provide 1:1 career coaching to UVM employees. Assist employees with internal job search strategies and application materials. Guide employees in identifying roles aligned with their skills and aspirations. Collaborate with HR Partners, Talent Development, and Classification & Compensation to define and promote career pathways. Develop internal mobility and career progression initiatives. Promote the program across campus and track utilization and impact. Support recruitment activities (e.g., scheduling interviews, coordinating logistics, corresponding with candidates).

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, counseling, education, psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2–4 years of experience in career counseling/coaching, employee development, or human resources & talent related experience. Proven experience building programs or resources related to career development. Skilled in résumé development, interviewing, goal setting, and employee advising. Familiarity with job leveling frameworks, employment trends, and internal talent mobility best practices. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
