This role combines strategic design and hands-on execution: you’ll plan, coordinate, and manage the systems, communications, and processes that bring the People Team’s vision to life. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure all employees—HQ staff, Camp Directors, and 2,000+ summer staff—are fully onboarded, equipped, and inspired to do their best work.
You’ll own the details, deadlines, and data that keep the employee experience running smoothly, while constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency, clarity, and connection at scale.

- Lead alumni engagement through community initiatives and newsletters, including for returning summer staff, in partnership with Talent Acquisition to support rehire strategies.
- Partner with leadership to ensure employee experiences reinforce Galileo’s mission and culture at every stage of the journey.

- Define and track key employee experience metrics (e.g., onboarding completion rates, engagement scores, feedback survey trends) to drive ongoing improvements.
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Own and optimize large-scale onboarding workflows that deliver accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless experience for year-round teams and 2,000+ seasonal staff annually — ensuring every hire is cleared, trained, and ready to work on day one.
- Build and refine centralized onboarding systems that streamline processes, increase accuracy, and scale efficiently to meet high-volume seasonal demands and timelines.
- Establish clear roles, communications, and triggers for cross-functional stakeholders in onboarding and offboarding, with a focus on ensuring a seamless, well-supported experience for employees at every stage.
- Partner cross-functionally (HR, Payroll, IT, Operations) to ensure every step - from offer acceptance to first day - is seamless and compliant.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure site and state-specific onboarding requirements are met and maintain appropriate records
- Create consistent and inclusive standards for how we welcome employees and thoughtfully close the loop when they leave.
- Own onboarding training content and reporting, to enable alignment and visibility for all hiring managers and leaders as they welcome their staff.
Communications & Knowledge Management
- Develop and steward employee communication standards, ensuring clarity, consistency, and cultural alignment across HQ and seasonal staff.
- Manage key internal communication tools (e.g., Notifyre) and ensure timely, accurate messaging across HQ and field teams.
- Build and maintain feedback loops that ensure employees feel heard, and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Lead Galileo’s knowledge management efforts, ensuring easily accessible resources that are available at the right times and in the right places.

- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage complex timelines, data, and logistics at scale.
