Kenai Peninsula College (KPC), is seeking an Evening Enrollment Technician to join our dedicated team in supporting student success. This part-time position is responsible for managing admissions, registration, and student records functions during the afternoon and evening hours. Operating with limited supervision and without onsite support from other enrollment technicians, this role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
The Evening Enrollment Technician processes student applications, maintains accurate student records, and enters data into university systems. This position also provides guidance to students, faculty, and staff regarding admissions requirements, registration procedures, and academic policies. The technician resolves registration and enrollment issues, communicates important updates and deadlines, and responds to inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining student records in compliance with FERPA and institutional policies, scanning and uploading documents into OnBase, conducting routine audits for data integrity, and collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and secure record processing. The technician also plays a key role in semester course scheduling by entering and maintaining course information in Banner and assisting with schedule changes and data accuracy.
This position serves as a primary point of contact during evening hours, offering customer service and technical assistance to students and visitors. The technician helps users navigate online university tools, troubleshoot issues, and access resources. The role also involves collecting and analyzing data related to admissions and enrollment trends and preparing reports to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Prior experience using Banner and OnBase is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Position Details:
This position is located on the KPC campus in Soldotna. This position works 30-hours per week and 9 months per year with summers off. It is a non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and
full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the
UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, starting at $23.38, based on education and experience.
