 Position Details 
Advertising/Posting Title  | Enterprise Applications Programmer
Posting Summary  | As a key member of the Student Systems team in the University’s Enterprise Application Services department, partner with other programmer/analysts, database administrators, internal technical resources, internal customers and vendors to support and extend the enterprise-wide software solutions that support UVM’s students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities range across the entire software development lifecycle with equal emphasis on the first half (research, analysis, and design) as the second (development, deployment, support, and enhancement) to ensure that purchased and custom developed applications in the portfolio are being used efficiently, processes are appropriately automated, functionality is extended, and that data flow is timely, accurate, and secure.

In addition to supporting current systems—including Ellucian Banner—this position will play a key role in preparing for and contributing to the implementation of a next-generation student information system as part of the University’s future strategic initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)  | -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field and at least four tofive years of relevant professional experience to include a minimum of three years ofscripting and programming required. (Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the education component.)-Experience with Ellucian’s Banner Student Information Systems (SIS)-Proficiency working with SQL and relational databases required.-Technical experience supporting, developing, or extending critical, enterprise-wide ERP applications required.-Effective, broad technical skills with a desire and ability to learn quickly, demonstrated understanding of functional business processes, and effective troubleshooting required.-Must be effective working independently as well as working as a member of a team.-Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and flexible with proven effective written and verbal communication, time management, and customer service skills.

Desirable Qualifications  | Experience with/supporting:-Ellucian’s Intelligent Processes-Ellucian’s Experience portal-Ellucian’s Ethos extensibility tools including Data Connect/Access, Ethos Integration, and the Experience SDK Toolkit-Oracle database, middleware, and development tools-Java-based web services.-Expertise in Java, Eclipse, Groovy, Grails, PL/SQL, GraphQL, Bash and Linux highly desired-Experience with next-generation Cloud Student Information Systems
Anticipated Pay Range  | $75,000-$95,000/year
