New Classrooms is a national non-profit organization focused on reimagining math education for all students. We are a fully remote team of educators, technologists, and advocates committed to the idea that all students deserve an educational pathway that meets them where they are and gets them to where they need to be. We partner with schools, districts, and states to support the implementation of our personalized, competency-based math solution, Teach to One: Roadmaps, while also advocating for shifts across the K-12 landscape to create the conditions for more student-centered learning.
ABOUT THE ROLE
New Classrooms is seeking an experienced, intelligent individual with superior organization and problem solving skills to support the Chief Executive Officer, and handle some administrative tasks for the President and Chief Academic Officer. The Executive Administrative Assistant will make the CEO more effective and efficient by providing a variety of high level support, which frees up his time to focus on more complex responsibilities. This role is always thinking ahead, to anticipate the CEO’s needs and questions, and ensure that the CEO is always prepared in advance, and using his time to achieve his goals.
This role is remote, and working hours must align with the CEO, which is the US Eastern Time Zone.
WHAT THE ROLE DOES
- Support the CEO and other key executives in managing day-to-day activities, including meeting preparation, coordination, and follow-up
- Plan, manage and maintain an accurate calendar of meetings and other commitments on behalf of the CEO and other key executives while balancing competing scheduling priorities
- Coordinate calendars across multiple stakeholders, internal and external, and doggedly pursue responses
- Book travel; ensure calendar accurately reflects travel time needs, and the CEO has the necessary information to travel independently
- Manage all expense reimbursements, accurately and timely
- Support board logistics including scheduling all board related meetings and coordinating board member schedules
- Manage/maintain essential information for key external stakeholders, in Salesforce
- Provide logistical support for meetings, as needed
- Draft various artifacts (slides, documents, emails, e.g.) on behalf of the CEO as requested
- Provide administrative support to other senior leaders, including the President and Chief Academic Officer, as requested
- Support key initiatives and projects with other senior leaders, as necessary
- Coordinate and manage tasks to ensure that the CEO’s priorities and deadlines are met and addressed, and best practices are maintained

- You are masterful at effectively communicating and interacting with the CEO, understanding his style & priorities, and effectively anticipating what he will need to be successful
- You are exceptionally sharp and can keep up in a fast paced and complex environment with ease
- 4+ years of experience as an executive assistant, or other similar position OR a recent graduate from a top 25 university with stellar academic record
- Has demonstrated experience proactively scheduling executive calendars
- Ability to resolve complex and/or confidential administrative issues with excellent judgment and little or no supervision. You have strong critical thinking, prioritization, and problem solving skills
- You can digest complex information and summarize key points
- Familiarity with Google suite of work tools, particularly Calendar
- Familiarity with Salesforce a plus
- You are a lifelong learner, happy to dive into an ambiguous space, get up to speed and figure it out

ROLE CLASSIFICATIONS AND BENEFITS
This role is remote, full-time, and includes benefits such as rich medical, dental, and vision insurance, 41 paid days off per year (prorated for the period in which you work), paid parental leave, a professional development budget and a quarterly cell phone subsidy.
The hiring salary range for this role is $63,000 - $67,000 and will be commensurate with experience. We have a hiring salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 for specific higher cost of labor locations, which include New York City, Washington DC, Boston, San Francisco/Oakland, Los Angeles, Seattle and their metro areas.
New Classrooms is a fully remote organization. All employees work from home, and occasionally travel for in-person get-togethers and off-sites.
