Physical Requirements  | Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs., sitting for long periods of time, and viewing computer screens for extended periods of time without difficulty.
Shift  | Primarily Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Occasional travel and work expected outside of these hours as needed.
Job Summary  | The University of Kentucky Police Department is seeking an Executive Assistant for the Office of the Chief of Police. By providing executive support to the Office of the Chief, this position will manage the daily schedule; ensuring the executive staff are informed of any and all changes. This position will also be responsible for all event planning to include graduations, recognition and promotion events, and plans the annual awards banquet for all UK Police employees. This position also provides notary services, manages all building maintenance and reservation requests for UK Police occupied spaces, and ensures the police headquarters remains organized and professional.

Finally, this position provides assistance with budget and human resources needs as it relates to scheduling Chief interviews and preparing expense & travel & training reports for the executive staff.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities  | The successful candidate must be detail oriented, have strong organizational, decision
making and time management skills as well as excellent verbal and written
communication skills, and attention to detail. Must have the ability to build good working relationships andmaintain confidentiality.
