Job Description
The Field Experience Operations Coordinator is a full-time  team member and will focus on coordinating student field experience progress and development. The coordinator will report to the academic program and field education coordinator and work closely with field experience operations and academic coordinators, the field experience directors and faculty, Walden’s Office of Applied Learning Agreements (OALA) student success advising, and field experience site supervisors. 
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of coordinators and be centrally involved in supporting students in preparing and applying for their field experience across the counseling programs. 

 Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for a cohort of students regarding all matters related to field experience, including but not limited to: field experience requirements, site search support resources, application process and requirements, registration, and issues that arise during field experience.
  • Coordinate a comprehensive operations and academic review of field experience applications, ensuring all facets of the application process are completed.
  • Coordinate with team members in the School’s Office of Field Experience to assist all graduate students who require field experience.
  • Work with field site contacts to establish affiliation agreements with each field site. Initiate contact with the field site regarding affiliation agreement and work in partnership with university contract administrators, and serve as a liaison between the university and outside field sites.
  • Coordinate completion of site onboarding requirements with students and field sites, as needed.
  • Assist Field Experience staff and faculty in resolving student problems arising out of field experience.  
  • Track and maintain field experience resources, policies and procedures, student field experience files, field experience applications, site, and site supervisor information across a variety of platforms.
  • Develop and maintain field experience communications to students, faculty, site supervisors, and other parts of the university.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
  • Partner with field experience staff members on projects and initiatives that drive the field experience mission, improve service levels and student satisfaction, and accomplish field experience objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited university required.
  • 2+ years of post-MSW practice experience required.
  • Experience with student support in a university setting is preferred.
  • Experience working with providing academic counseling and advising preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.
  • Ability to manage high-volume activities with strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to the goals of diversity and social change.
  • Ability to work with non-traditional students.
  • Ability to assume a leading role in coordinating administrative aspects of the field experience.
  • Ability to provide guidance and support in field experience operations.
  • Ability to assume a significant role in addressing student questions and concerns about preparing and applying for field experience.
  • Ability to participate in residencies, national faculty meetings and other work-related travel.

Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.70 and $33.84. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
