Job Summary/Basic Function  | The Financial Literacy Coordinator serves as the lead for financial literacy and financial stability support within the Basic Needs Center. This position develops and coordinates financial education programming, financial coaching services, FAFSA and scholarship support, and student financial wellness initiatives designed to reduce barriers to education and improve student persistence and success.

The position provides individualized support to students navigating financial challenges by assisting with budgeting, financial aid processes, scholarship opportunities, emergency funding referrals, and connections to campus and community resources. The Financial Literacy Coordinator also develops workshops, outreach initiatives, and collaborative partnerships focused on financial wellness, money management, and long-term student stability.

As part of the integrated Basic Needs Center system, this role supports a coordinated, student-centered “no wrong door” approach to service delivery through collaboration, outreach, referral coordination, and assessment efforts.

Required Qualifications  | Required: Bachelor’s Degree Two years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications  | Preferred: Experience supporting students experiencing financial hardship or other barriers to persistence within a higher education setting. Experience with financial literacy programming, financial coaching, FAFSA support, scholarship coordination, or related student financial wellness initiatives. Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships across campus and within the community. Experience developing workshops, outreach initiatives, or student support programming. Proficiency in a language other than English is a plus (please specify in resume).
