Job SummarySomerset Community College is accepting applications for a Financial Specialist III position. This position will perform budget analyst duties to provide timely and accurate financial data to college administration.
Job Duties:• Create and distribute various financial data analysis spreadsheets

• Prepare various monthly account reconciliations

• Monitor daily Failing Journal Report, research issues, and correct as needed

• Audit payroll reports for budget check and accuracy

• Monitor post-distribution reports and general ledger for accuracy and vacancy credit

• Conduct cost/benefit and other types of analyses

• Estimate and forecast future financial need

• Perform various accounting duties such as journal entries and budget transfers

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (related field) and four years of related work experience, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates with advanced Excel skills and a minimum of three years of direct experience with financial and other data analyses within the past five years.
