The Role
As FP&A Manager, you will serve as the strategic finance partner to our G&A functions â Legal, People, and Finance â helping leaders make confident, data-driven decisions as Handshake scales. This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to executive stakeholders and the opportunity to build financial infrastructure from the ground up.
Own headcount and opex forecasting for G&A cost centers to drive budget accountability across Legal, People, and Finance leadership
Lead monthly variance analysis and business reviews to surface actionable insights that sharpen G&A spend decisions
Build driver-based operating models that improve forecast accuracy and support annual planning and quarterly reforecasts
Partner with Accounting on month-end close and roll-forward processes to ensure timely, accurate G&A reporting
You Have
Must-Haves:
4+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance experience, preferably in a SaaS environment
Strong Excel modeling skills, including headcount, opex, and variance analysis
Solid understanding of SaaS KPIs, GAAP fundamentals, and P&L structure
Experience owning a full forecast cycle â from building the model to presenting to stakeholders
Track record of improving forecast accuracy and building repeatable financial processes
Comfortable partnering directly with business leaders and translating complex data into clear recommendations
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment
Bonus Points:
Big 4 public accounting or investment banking background
Experience supporting G&A functions (HR/People, Legal, Finance)
Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive, or similar FP&A tools
