This role supports and executes fundraising initiatives to enhance the athletic department's programs and scholarships by cultivating donor relationships, coordinating events, and managing donor stewardship efforts. The coordinator works closely with the Director of Development for The Bears Fund and the Senior Director of Athletic Development to engage potential and existing donors as well as assist with athletic engagement events.

Highlights

  • Support and execute fundraising and external relations efforts for the athletic department.
  • Solicit potential donors, alumni, and university friends in coordination with development directors.
  • Manage donor stewardship, including acknowledgments and regular communications.
  • Assist with planning and executing athletic engagement events throughout the year.
  • Required knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance; preferred knowledge of NIL practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least three years of experience in athletic fundraising or donor relations, plus event planning and volunteer coordination.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary for events and functions.
  • Compensation offered at $21.15 hourly; position is full-time, non-exempt.
