What You Will Do
The Director of Learning and Development, First Vice President, leads TruMark Financial’s enterprise learning and leadership development strategy, ensuring employees and leaders at all levels are equipped with the skills and capabilities needed to drive performance, growth, and organizational effectiveness. This role partners closely with executive leadership to align development initiatives with business strategy, workforce planning, and organizational priorities.
This role plays a key part in developing TruMark Financial’s future leaders, strengthening manager capability, and supporting succession planning and internal mobility across the organization. As a strategic partner to senior leadership, the Director helps build organizational capability, support organizational change, and prepare TruMark Financial’s workforce for future growth through development programs that deliver measurable business impact. You will:
  • Set and execute a forward looking enterprise learning and development strategy aligned to long term business goals and workforce needs.
  • Build leadership capability across all levels, including senior leaders, emerging talent, and high potential employees.
  • Strengthen succession planning, internal mobility, and bench strength to support future organizational growth.
  • Partner with executive and business leaders to identify capability gaps and align development to strategic priorities.
  • Establish a modern, scalable learning ecosystem that supports continuous learning and evolving workforce needs.
  • Lead organizational change and transformation efforts through targeted learning and development initiatives.
  • Use data, insights, and performance outcomes to measure impact and continuously improve development programs.
  • Establish enterprise standards, governance, and best practices for learning and development.
  • Lead and develop a high performing team and manage external partnerships to deliver effective learning solutions.

What You Bring to the Table
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, business management, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in organizational development, training, education, leadership, or related field preferred.
Experience
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in learning and organizational development.
  • Five or more years of experience in a senior leadership or department management role overseeing enterprise learning strategy.
Skills
  • Strong ability to design, facilitate, and evaluate leadership development programs that drive business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies.
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and identifying performance gaps.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships with senior leaders across the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high performing teams.
  • Experience leading change and supporting organizational transformation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to executive audiences.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, vendors, and budgets effectively.
