YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!
The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager contributes to AHF by creating and delivering live training (in-person and virtual) and eLearning solutions that equip staff with the skills needed to perform, stay engaged, and grow. The L&D Manager will create practical, scalable learning for teams across the organization, from patient-facing teams in healthcare and wellness centers to community-based teams like Healthy Housing, Food for Health, and OTC thrift stores.
The L&D Manager enhances the reputation of AHF by making sure staff receive high quality training that drives performance and growth. This role builds trust by delivering learning that is worth people’s time. You will work in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and multiple business lines and global partners need support at the same time. Being able to adapt, stay organized, and communicate clearly is key to keeping initiatives moving forward.
You will be a passionate advocate for our top initiatives.
To be successful as the L&D Manager it is crucial to ensure that the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do. At AHF we are nimble and able to adapt in a dynamic environment to assist in providing the best experience for our clients and workplace for our employees.
AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.
The L&D Manager will work as a part of a close-knit team to deliver training using a mix of instructor-led sessions, eLearning, and supporting tools. This role blends content creation in Articulate, Canva, and similar tools with live facilitation, giving you the opportunity to both build and deliver impactful learning experiences. At AHF, this role operates much like an internal consultant, partnering with leaders to understand staff needs, designing thoughtful solutions, and bringing them to life, while continuously improving based on feedback and performance data. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning projects from start to finish, has a strong eye for detail, and brings a high level of organization and clarity to their work. The focus is not just on creating training, but on making sure it resonates, is applied on the job, and makes a meaningful difference.
Licenses and Certifications: Experience with instructional design and eLearning tools like Articulate required. Professional certifications in L&D, OD, or HR are valued. What matters most is what you can build and deliver.
