About the Role
Reporting to the VP Commercial, you'll support the objectives and implementation of commercial go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Specifically, solutions targeted at the hospital pharmacist persona including Clinical Pharmacology powered by ClinicalKey; our comprehensive drug reference solution that supports clinicians in making medication decisions. This is a global role with North America focus. The commercial GTM lead will drive forward, operationalize, and execute go-to-to-market and commercial strategies to drive profitable growth and commercial success for the portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Needs Identification. Define customer needs and develop strategies to go after those opportunities. Work as the organization’s primary market expert bringing customer and market perspective to prioritize go-to-market strategies and to inform product roadmaps. Foster strategic customer and partner relationships.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy Development and Execution. Prioritize go-to-market strategies in selected customer segments to deliver business results for your solution 
  • Business Model Development. Identify, innovate and drive forward commercial business models for your solution area to enable growth and achieve customer adoption for long-term success.
  • Product Launches. Lead the execution of market launches for solutions through collaborating with the cross-functional team that includes marketing, customers success and other key stakeholders. Identify & partner with pilot customers driving user validated product launches and migrations.
  • Customer Engagement. Develop relationships with strategic customers and participate in sales calls. Share strategic innovation roadmaps and support the sales team in partnering with Elsevier customers.
  • Sales enablement. Support the Sales teams with developing and implementing market strategies across key market segments and removing obstacles for closing sales.

Requirements
  • Have a college education with Industry experience in healthcare market domains.
  • Understand healthcare markets with focus on the pharmacist persona in a hospital/health system setting
  • Experience in working directly with customers and collaborating with sales teams
  • Proactive and able to work successfully in a matrixed environment and able to lead through demonstration, commitment, and understand our marketplace. Understanding needs of our customers and build relationships to achieve results.
  • Demonstrate success in forming compelling market strategies and meeting customer needs while delivering on financial commitments in a fast-changing market.
  • Have business and financial acumen with consultative selling abilities, excellent communication skills with senior leaders and customers. Paired with strategic thinking and outstanding execution focus.
  • Able to proactively and continuously identify areas for improvement, growth and develop supplemented solutions.
