About the Role
Location: Remote, United States
Role Type: Full-Time Contractor (40 hours/week)
Duration: 6 Month Contract (potential conversion to FTE)
Reports To: Head of Development
Compensation: $6,000-$7,500 per month
The Grant Manager serves on the Development Team, reports to Senior Operations Manager and works to support the fundraising goals on behalf of CodePath. The Grant Manager will be responsible for researching, identifying and qualifying funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals that align with funder priorities, and producing detailed grant reports that demonstrate impact and compliance with funder requirements. You will support the Development Team’s multi-million dollar portfolio of grants, ensuring timely submission of proposals and reports, and maintaining grant calendars and deadlines.

In this role, you will develop narratives that position CodePath as the definitive systems change leader transforming America's AI-native technical talent pipeline. You will craft compelling funding proposals that showcase our scalable, industry-integrated solutions and their measurable impact across educational institutions, employers, and regional and state-wide economic ecosystems. This requires translating our organizational vision into strategic grant proposals and identifying emerging grant funding opportunities that advance our mission at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Writing, Proposal Development
- Serve as translator to communicate CodePath’s vision, mission, programs and impact into a consistent narrative that drives exponential fundraising growth
- Tell the CodePath story through writing inspiring grant proposals, grant reports, and external collateral; refresh, manage and own the master grant template language on a regular basis
- Lead the writing, editing, and submission of high-quality, persuasive grant LOIs and comprehensive proposals and submissions, ensuring adherence to all grantor guidelines and requirements
- Research and synthesize funder data using a variety of sources to develop excellent donor briefs and proposals
- Synthesize CodePath’s program and employment outcomes data in a clear and compelling way
- Prepare pitch decks, assets, and deliverables for use in compelling sizable corporate and foundation gifts
- Collaborate with other departments (including OOCEO, Earned Revenue, Programs, Finance, & Growth teams) to gather data and key information required in grant proposals
Grant Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required reports and maintain compliance with funder regulations and guidelines
- Manage internal records, timely reports, and all relevant grant requirements and milestones
Cross-Functional Coordination, Data Management & Support
- Provide strategic and execution support to Fundraisers through efficient grantwriting and reporting that contributes to achieving revenue goals
- Partner closely with Sr. Ops Manager on data management, owning the accuracy of pending, awarded, and declined grants through Hubspot
- Contribute to overall fundraising goals for grants, quarterly goals, and benchmarks
- Work closely with CodePath program staff, finance, and other departments to gather necessary information, develop budgets, and ensure seamless proposal development and submission processes
- Provide guidance and support to grant writer consultants, contributing to the development of the internal fundraising team's capacity
Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to CodePath’s mission, vision, and core values
- Proactive and independent contributor who demonstrates strong ownership
- Curious problem solver who drives solutions, ideas, execution and momentum for teams and projects
- 5-7 years of experience, preferably as a Grant Writer
- Bachelor's Degree in English or Communications, highly preferred
- Knowledge of grant management terms and the different stages of prospecting funders
- Experience with gathering, organizing, and verifying data
- Impeccable detail orientation and systems-thinking
- Strong communication skills with a proven track record of consistently creating high-quality written materials that deliver desired outcomes for multi-6 figure-7 figure grants
- Effective internal relationship management skills balanced by the need to complete projects on deadline
- Demonstrates data literacy skills to support the communication of CodePath’s impact and other grant reporting efforts
Preferable Qualifications
- Expertise in CRM management, HubSpot preferred
- Technical proficiency is a major plus (i.e., former CS student, has coding/programming experience, or a tech enthusiast, i.e., you enjoy reading WIRED magazine and immersing yourself in the latest tech trends)
- High growth tech-enabled nonprofit startup experience is a plus

- Monthly Range: $6,000-$7,500 (depending on experience)
- This position is not eligible for company benefits
