As a High School Sales Representative, you will be responsible for proactively selling our products and solutions through various channels, including outside travel, virtual meetings, emails, and phone calls. You will focus on building and maintaining relationships with key accounts in New York City, Long Island and Lower NY State, while also identifying and pursuing new and existing business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, strategic planning and time management abilities, and a passion for education. The ability to adapt and manage time is an integral part of this position. This territory covers accounts across New York City, Long Island and Lower NY State. The successful candidate is expected to live in those areas.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create, oversee, and implement a comprehensive business plan that leverages data insights to drive strategic decisions and achieve sales objectives.
  • Develop and execute a well-organized schedule to optimize sales efforts, including conducting in-person sales calls, managing email outreach, and attending industry conferences and events.
  • Strategically identify and build strong, lasting relationships with key educational districts and influential decision-makers to drive sales growth and market penetration.
  • Proactively enable customer success by ensuring that clients receive the necessary resources, support, and guidance to achieve their goals, leading to sustained customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of sales opportunities to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Utilize insights from sales opportunities to inform and shape the business strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends and company objectives.
  • Participate fully in company and team meetings, contributing to discussions and staying aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Deliver compelling and tailored presentations and product demonstrations, both virtually and in person.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership in all tasks, collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven experience in sales and/or education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Home office setup conducive to remote work.
  • Must live within the territory.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000/year

Exemption Status:  Exempt

Physical Requirements:
Requires periods of close concentration, must be able to multi-task, must lift 35 lbs. of books on sales calls, must be able to walk up to 2 miles a day on campus, must be able to sit/stand for long periods at conventions, must be able to concentrate in noisy/busy environment, and must be able to travel, including ability to drive for periods from 2 to 5 hours, depending upon the territory involved. A valid driver’s license is required with daily travel within territory and frequent over-night trips. Attendance at national sales meetings and regional meetings is required (5 or more days). During the fall and spring selling seasons it is necessary to work more than 40 hours per week. During these seasons it is necessary to spend all day on campus and then complete paperwork, sampling, and expense reports in the evening.

This territory covers accounts across New York City, Long Island and Lower NY State. The successful candidate is expected to live in those areas.
