The HRBP – HR Specialist serves as a key resource for employees and departments, providing support across a broad range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, leave administration, and employment transactions. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of HR processes by coordinating hiring, employee lifecycle changes, and annual HR activities while maintaining compliance with applicable policies and procedures. Acting as a liaison between employees, departments, and HR specialists, the position delivers responsive customer service, resolves routine HR issues, and supports workforce planning and recruitment efforts. The HRBP – HR Specialist also serves as a backup to HR staff as needed to ensure seamless HR operations.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

  • Knowledge and understanding of USC HR policies, State of SC HR Regulations and applicable federal HR laws/regulations specific to higher education.
