Job Summary 
Maintains and updates employee data in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and serves as a liaison between Human Resources (HR) and Cleveland State University’s (CSU) colleges and departments. Provides administrative support in human resources functions, such as employment-related inquiries, recruitment processes, compensation, training, and benefits. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications 
A bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, business administration, or related field. Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in HR, Payroll or other administrative areas. Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education. For example, a candidate with a high school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent and four (4) years of related work experience can be eligible to apply.

Preferred Qualifications  | HRIS experience utilizing queries, SQL and/or other software in a higher education setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills. Ability to follow detailed procedures and complete projects independently. Detail-oriented, with strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to successfully perform general math calculations and have strong calculation skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and decision-making abilities. Ability to provide accurate, efficient and customer friendly service under constant deadlines. Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
