WHAT IS THE POSITION
In this role, you will design, implement, and evaluate instructional materials to support onboarding, ever boarding and training platforms for a variety of educational audiences. Through collaboration with subject matter experts, developers, instructional leaders and educators, your work will play a pivotal role in ensuring our Instructional Services solutions meet the needs of our districts, learners and educators worldwide.
This role will provide instructional design support to a variety of internal Instructional Service streams. Assignments will flex and scale to meet market and business needs and support the ongoing needs of our educators and district partners.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (Key Responsibilities)
Learning Experience Design and Development
- Create adult learner-centered experiences by applying evidence based instructional design models (such as ADDIE or SAM) and/or theories, principles, and best practices to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Leverage educational technology tools to develop interactive and accessible content full of multimedia-rich learning solutions that enhance engagement and knowledge retention.
- Support the implementation and iteration of effective teaching best practices to improve overall skills and deliver strong-consistent outcomes
- Develop and deliver interactive professional development in Edmentum platforms and supporting technologies to internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Maintain Instructional Design Enablement documentation to include training courses, project management and any additional pedagogy information on industry trends for e-learning.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and project management to improve efficiency, track and manage program data, and prepare official reports for leadership and team-wide meetings.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Collaborate for Impact
- Research, strategize, design, and develop, educator instructional materials, including e-learning course creation modules, videos, interactive activities, instructional projects and assessments in collaboration with Instructional Service leaders & cross-functional teams.
- Partner with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, design effective instructional strategies, and ensure content accuracy.
- Apply principles of andragogy (self-concept, adult learner experience, readiness to learn, orientation to learning, motivation to learn and active learning) in ongoing support of adult learners.
- Proactively collaborate with multiple internal team(s) to meet goals and share best practices to include in the educator training and virtual professional development.
- Collaborate with teams to prioritize training and technical assistance in any training courses or tracks.
- Be an industry thought leader by participating in blogs, town halls, conference presentations, webinars, and podcasts. etc.
- Communicate clearly and persuade, when necessary, by adapting your communication style with other people or teams not familiar with the subject matter.

- Evaluate and update existing content to ensure relevance, accessibility, and effectiveness.
- Develop, distribute, and analyze survey feedback data information to assess training progress, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Document and track educator participation and progress towards onboarding and training goals.
- Provide regular updates to drive ongoing development of Instructional Enablement support programs.
- Guide development of quarterly & annual quantitative and qualitative goals and objectives of Instructional Enablement and Instructional Service needs.
- Stay up to date with advancements in educational technology and incorporate innovative approaches into design work.
- Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators.

- Operate with general direction from the Instructional Director/Managers. You will have the autonomy to make decisions on projects but work closely with leadership on content and outcomes.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field.
- Experience designing online professional learning courses in a variety of platforms.
- Knowledge, understanding, and use of active learning strategies to support a range of learners.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS). (Experience with Canva a plus).
- Proven experience in designing and developing instructional content for digital platforms.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, or similar.
- Ability to clear background check.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Full-time, remote position
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8-5
- Requires on-camera presentation and direct engagement with colleagues.
- Equipment provided.
- Travel as required (on average once per quarter) for face-to-face professional development, or as business requires

Pay range for this role:
$50,000 - $70,000 USD

Actual compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill sets.
