Instructional Designer
MarketSource, an Allegis Group company, delivers integrated sales solutions by hiring, training and managing industry-specific professionals that are empowered to create extraordinary customer experiences for many of the world’s most iconic brands. We design and execute sales and training solutions for small and large companies in the B2B and retail space. MarketSource is headquartered in Alpharetta, GA.
Summary:
This position works directly with the content development group, subject matter experts and other partners to design, develop, and implement learning programs and solutions. Learning solutions will be developed and delivered in a variety of formats, including but not limited to traditional instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, or self-paced, eLearning courses. This position will be responsible for engaging in the full instructional design and development cycle and using technology-based tools to improve the instructional integrity of the learning materials.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with program and client stakeholders to perform front-end analysis to identify knowledge gaps and define learning and development needs
- Design and develop interactive and engaging digital and print deliverables such as storyboards, video scripts, eLearning courses, Facilitator Guides, Learner Guides, PowerPoints, microlearning, job aids, and handouts
- Apply leading-edge instructional design methods with the effective use of technology to produce innovative and engaging learning solutions
- Ensure the instructional integrity of course development projects through systematic design and clear writing of scripts, narratives, and storyboards
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to build iterative design documents and learning solutions
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions using instructional design principles and adult learning theories
- Communicate frequently and effectively with various project stakeholders to ensure timeliness and quality of deliverables
- Develop and implement evaluation instruments
- Manage course development and implementation from start to finish
- Collaborate with all members of Learning and Development team, including trainer, video media specialist, technical writer, and other instructional designers
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven success creating personalized learning solutions and customized curriculum design
- Demonstrated track record of conducting audience and content analysis, developing a variety of learning modalities including eLearning, instructor-led, performance support, and microlearning
- Expert-level proficiency in writing and editing content for learning materials and facilitator-led training
- Proficiency in the following areas:
- eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline,
- Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign,
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and
- learning management systems and terminology
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional team members
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines with flexibility and responsiveness
- Open to receiving and giving feedback
- Has a growth mindset
Job Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, English, or related field
- 2-3 years’ experience designing and developing blended learning solutions
- May require occasional travel
- Four (4) in-office workdays per week and the option to work one (1) additional day remotely or in the office
