Make a Difference 
The Instructional Designer collaborates with network leaders, subject matter experts, and analysts to develop learning that supports network strategies. Provides learning solutions to customers by advising as to best practices for learning situations. Responsible for designing and delivering learning using 
various methodologies such as video, e-learning, instructor-led courses, online meetings (WebEx), and screen sharing. Creates learning measurement processes and works with leadership to measure and evaluate ROI. 
 
Essential functions of this role include the following: 
 
  • Instructional Design & Development: 
    Designs and maintains instructional materials using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Facilitates design sessions to define course goals and learning objectives. Develops e-learning tools, templates, and performance support materials using multimedia and authoring platforms. 
 
  • Project Leadership: 
    Leads training development projects, including those involving third-party vendors. Manages timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful delivery. 
 
  • Collaboration & Coaching: 
    Partners with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Coaches other training team members in curriculum development and delivery.  
 
  • Technology Integration: 
    Utilizes learning management systems (preferably SuccessFactors or Workday) and other digital platforms to deliver and track training.  
 
  • Continuous Improvement: 
    Evaluates training effectiveness through data collection and performance metrics. Adjusts content and delivery methods based on feedback and outcomes. 
 
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications 
Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or related field required. 
  • Three (3) years of experience designing some combination of classroom training, virtual training and e-learning. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. Skilled in leading instructional design projects including the use of standard processes, tools and documentation required. 
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities. 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving. 
  • Project planning and prioritization. 
  • Self-motivation and independent time management. 
  • Proficiency in multimedia tools and LMS platforms. 
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design best practices.
