Stride, a K12 company, is hiring an Intervention Specialist for Grades 9-12 at Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), a partner school providing an individualized, data-driven online education. The specialist works with students who have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities.
Essential functions:
- Modify and adapt the K12 curriculum in alignment with state content standards to meet each student's unique needs
- Write and maintain compliant IEPs, coordinating and facilitating IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general-education teachers and the related-services team to meet each student's goals
- Educate parents on instructional strategies and prepare required documentation
- Proctor achievement and alternative assessments as required
Qualifications: State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License, bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ohio residency is preferred, with applicants from neighboring states (Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana) also considered. Start date is August 2026.
