Description of Work The IT Computer Associate provides Tier 1 and specialized hardware and software support for College of Law faculty, staff and students. Collaborates with fellow College of Law team members and with NU ITS service managers to provide timely, high-quality technology services. Must be able to quickly become familiar with University systems and services. Must be able to work under pressure and time constraints in a professional office setting.

Minimum Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in a technology or computing-related field plus at least three months of hands-on experience providing IT support and at least one year of experience working in any role which involves customer service; equivalent education/experience considered. Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, utilizing an understanding of technical principles that align with University policies. Knowledge and experience of various computer architectures and their respective operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree in a technology or computing-related field. Two years of hands-on experience providing IT support including direct user support. Two years of experience administering and supporting Windows and MacOS operating systems. Experience with: Wired and wireless IP-based networking; SCCM, Active Directory, and Group Policies; JAMF or using macOS in a domain-joined environment; client management tools. Knowledge of IT security best practices, user security, and cloud storage services. CompTIA A+, HDI DST, and OEM hardware repair certifications (HP, Apple, Dell) are desirable.
