UWorld is seeking a qualified IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all workstation and laptop Windows/Mac computer systems, security and system configurations. You will be the front line for all day-to-day break/fix user related support issues and tickets. Provide technical support and oversight functions to ensure all reported problems, requests, and other service related tickets are worked on a timely basis, completed, and closed according to department operational procedures. Assure the accurate recording of all system assets in our inventory tracking system.

Job Requirements

4+ years computer hardware and software support
Microsoft Windows Server and Windows current desktop operating system knowledge
Proficient knowledge of Office 365 is a plus
Experienced in management of Active Directory is a plus
Knowledge on hardening systems and applications to meet regulatory and security requirements
Basic Networking knowledge (switch, router, VPN, WAN etc.) is a plus
Experience with cloud based technology (Azure) is a plus
Network-based mechanical skills for assembly and maintenance of servers and other network equipment
Electrical knowledge & skills including both power and data wiring
Telecommunications knowledge for integration with data circuits
Knowledge of workstations, laptops, printers, and other computer hardware, software, and operating systems
Excellent communication and documentation skills required

Responsibilities

In conjunction with the Network & Computer Systems Supervisor, you will be responsible for the documentation, and implementation of all system changes affecting delivery of IT services
In conjunction with the Network & Computer Systems Supervisor, you will assist in asset management and tracking
Provide assistance and guidance to users for all computer related issues as needed
Maintain and install computer hardware and software, including, workstations, laptops, printers and peripherals
In conjunction with the Network & Computer Systems Supervisor, you will assist in root cause analysis and review IT metrics to maintain quality control
Assure proper testing of all new workstations, laptops, patches, upgrades, etc. prior to move to a live production status
Harden and maintain security on workstations, laptops and supporting technologies
Maintain complete equipment/software change documentation and ensure management authorization is obtained prior to any changes to hardware, software, or operating systems
Provide direct user computer assistance as needed
Continue to obtain training and knowledge on an ongoing basis and share information with other IT Support staff
Assist with IT Support Help Desk technical questions, research, training, and direct user assistance as needed
Help with hardware/software repairs and troubleshooting on workstations and laptops as needed
Other duties as assigned
