POSITION SUMMARY
As a part of the Training and Development team, the Junior Instructional Designer / eLearning Designer will create engaging, instructive, and sustainable training modules for the TTC Contact Centre and supporting business teams. Delivering on Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Articulate and Litmos, this role will employ best practices in eLearning to achieve training outcomes, and end user understanding.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Develop content-specific, competency-based training materials using rapid eLearning authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate, and Flash, delivering interactive web-based training products
  • Apply knowledge of current LMS industry trends and best practices, to ensure learners engage with content.
  • Consult with key business leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop comprehensive understanding of and support the learning objectives.
  • Translate design requirements into functional learning modules.
  • Upload and make available eLearning materials for SME and End-User viewing on LMS.
  • Fully test and troubleshoot eLearning courses on the LMS to ensure the best user experience.
  • Use commercial content development software.
  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the L&D team you will support the design and build of online training courses across the Group.
  • Manage and develop the existing LMS including training records.
  • Actively promote online content to increase adoption including the use of virtual classrooms and web conferencing.
  • Manage and complete projects within a specified timeline while prioritizing and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Keep current on changes to the LMS.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE 
  • Expert knowledge of Articulate 360, Storyline and Litmos.
  • 2+ years’ experience developing and corporate e-Learning.
  • 1+ year training experience in virtual contact center environment preferred.
  • High degree of comfort in a collaborative, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (both verbal and written) with all levels of management, and to build strong and sustainable business relationships throughout the organization.
  • Best practices and in-depth understanding of eLearning technology issues.
  • Proficiency in HTML 5, Illustrator and Photoshop, preferred.
  • Familiarity with SCORM standards and multimedia formats used in eLearning development.
  • Experience applying gamification and motion design principles to enhance learner engagement.
  • Experience designing with multimodal training methods to support diverse learning styles.
