Job Summary
Hazard Community and Technical College is accepting applications for the KNAT Coordinator position. The KNAT Coordinator will provide leadership support and services for the regional Nurse Aide (MNA/KMA) programs. The KNAT Coordinator will be the point person providing regional support to long-term care facilities, schools, instructors, and students with timely completion of reports.
The KNAT Coordinator will enforce, ensure, and monitor compliance of all federal and state regulations/guidelines working at the local and system level.

Job Duties:
Duties will include but not limited to:
• Provides regional management and oversight of MNA/KMA programs, courses, instructors, and testing including advisory committee and regional webpages, duties include maintaining training and testing records, overseeing clinical rotation needs, management of clinical Memorandums of Agreement, reporting, ordering of equipment and additional duties as needed.
• Manage instruction of MNA/KMA courses to include; teaching of courses, schedule/oversee MOI and MOI Train the Trainer course to qualified nurses, develop class schedules, recruit, supervise and train instructors, conduct evaluation of instructors and verify compliance of faculty and staff.
• Serves as a resource to long-term care facilities, secondary partners, nurse aides, nurse aide instructors in area with questions concerning the Medicaid Nurse Aide and Kentucky Medication Aide programs.
• Attend and serve on system meetings, committees, trainings, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a registered nurse, having an unencumbered KY Nursing or multi-state license, with a minimum of two (2) years RN experience, at least one (1) of which shall be in the provision of long-term care facility services (hospice/home health/ Long term care) as defined by 907 KAR 1.450 and listed on a submitted CV or resume.
If hired, the candidate will need to complete a 16 hours Method of Instruction.
