Job Description:
Coordinates activities and functions related to accreditation and strategic planning within the John Schufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the Doctor of Medicine program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.
The Shufeldt School of Medicine is temporarily located in Tempe; however, school operations are expected to relocate to the Downtown Phoenix Campus in Spring 2026.
Pay Range: $51,500 - $70,000: Depending on Experience
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate all aspects of LCME accreditation for the Doctor of Medicine program, including project management, data collection, reporting, and survey visit preparation.
- Maintain a comprehensive, centralized CQI dashboard to monitor compliance with LCME standards and elements, track progress toward strategic goals.
- Lead the operationalization of SOMME's CQI process (LCME Element 1.1), including scheduling reviews, assigning tasks, tracking deliverables, and documenting outcomes.
- Working closely with the Faculty Accreditation Lead, maintain an up-to-date Data Collection Instrument (DCI) database and ensure ongoing readiness through regular review, updates, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Manage the logistical planning and execution of the Self-Study process for provisional and full accreditation cycles, including committee coordination, documentation management, communication strategies, and survey visit event logistics.
- Provide administrative support to monitor and track the strategic planning faculty committee's outcomes and progress.
- Collaborate with assessment, curriculum, student affairs, and administrative units to prepare and submit required reports and surveys (e.g., LCME Annual Questionnaire, internal strategic planning progress reports).
- Participate in national Accreditation Preparation & Quality Improvement (APQI) communities of practice and professional development activities to share best practices and stay current in accreditation trends.
- Proactively identify and assess emerging issues or risks related to accreditation, operations, or strategic priorities; provide evidence-based recommendations for resolution.
- Conduct root-cause analyses and develop improvement strategies that sustain compliance and support mission fulfillment.
- Present both sides of complex issues objectively and succinctly brief the Dean on recommendations and potential impacts.
- Work both independently and within a complex structured team

- Prior experience working within an LCME-accredited Medical School
- Knowledge of organizational practices.

- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
Working Environment:
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse
