What you'll do

  • Shape the long-term technical roadmap for ReUp’s data platform, and serve as a senior technical resource across projects.
  • Provide technical mentorship to other engineers through skill development, design guidance, and code reviews.
  • Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines to ingest and process large volumes of student and institutional data.
  • Design and optimize data models in data warehouses to power business intelligence products, ML models, cloud-based web applications, and marketing and coaching services.
  • Implement validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data quality.
  • Proactively improve the performance, reliability, automation and cost efficiency of data workflows and platforms.
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot production data systems to ensure reliability and uptime.
  • Define and implement data engineering standards and best practices to improve data quality, governance, and performance.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes.

  • Proven ability to lead projects and work cross-functionally.

  • Experience working with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database design.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills.
    • Nice to have:
      • Cloud data certifications.
      • Experience working with ELT tools such as dbt.
      • Experience syncing data to and from Salesforce, Iterable, and/or cloud-based web applications.
