About the Role
MWH is seeking a Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist that will be assisting in the design, development, and delivery of training programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and professional growth. This role partners with leaders and HR to assess organizational learning needs, build effective training solutions, and support a culture of continuous learning and development from the time the employee starts with MWH. This role will report directly to the Learning and Development Program Manager.

This is a full-time, regular position, and will be based onsite in Broomfield, CO.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to identify training needs across the organization.
  • Partner with talent colleagues on the development of the onboarding program.
  • Assist in the design, develop, and implementation of engaging learning programs, including e-learning, instructor-led sessions, workshops, and blended learning solutions.
  • Facilitate training sessions to employees at various levels, ensuring content is interactive, practical, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics; recommend improvements as needed.
  • Maintain and update learning content, ensuring relevance, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Support in the management of the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to create targeted training materials and knowledge resources.
  • Stay current on learning trends, instructional design strategies, and best practices to continuously enhance development offerings.
  • Assist in developing career development programs, leadership training, and other talent development initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or training.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with learning technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Ability to assess training needs and translate them into effective learning solutions.
  • Some experience with e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia) preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours, to conduct interviews, communicate with candidates and business leaders.
  • Willingness to travel to construction sites, events, and employee activities (10% travel required).
