Job Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The BluSky Restoration L&D Specialist is responsible for helping our national workforce to expand their skills and knowledge, working closely with the internal business teams to fully understand the needs and requirements for employees. The L&D Specialist works with the broader L&D team to develop training plans including recommending and producing the necessary materials, such as resource guides, videos, online e-learning, and virtual training.

Salary Range: $60,000- $90,000

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Administrates BluSky's Learning Management System, including data entry, course scheduling and other duties as required.
* Tracks, reports, and maintains proof of professional development training status for BluSky employees and assists with course scheduling.
* Partners collaboratively with stakeholders across the agency to develop training programs and strategies that support and positively impact delivery skills.
* Designs, maintains, and delivers curriculum including learning objectives, training plans, trainer notes, exercises, handouts, web content, review activities and audio-visual aids, using PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and screen capture technologies for e-Learnings.
* Performs curriculum review, testing, and regular content updates in association with various updates to keep content timely.
* Identifies potential projects and training opportunities and ensures completion.
* Communicates projected timelines to stakeholders.
* Incorporates appropriate policies and procedures along with approved workflows into training material.
* Performs gap analyses of projects and training activities and makes recommendations for improvement.
* Monitors metrics to understand training effectiveness and identify training needs and gaps.
* Supports the development of training long-term tactics, strategies, and business/training models.
* Remains abreast of new educational techniques and technology and incorporates into current training.
* Assists with management of new employee onboarding and peer mentor programs.
* Creates and tracks surveys for all internal and external classes to measure effectiveness of training sessions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of experience in training, education, or related field
* Experience with learning management systems, e-learning tools, Zoom Webinar and Microsoft Teams platforms required
* Experience with various video editing, graphic design, and/or content creation tools preferred
* Well versed in Microsoft Office products, (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams)
* Skills required for this position include:
 Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
 Strong knowledge of adult training procedures, methodologies, and materials.
 Extraordinary public speaking and presentation skills.
 Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to complete tasks with minimal oversight.
 Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
 Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
 Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
 Ability to interface with senior leadership and a diverse workforce across the United States.

EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development or related field preferred
* Instructor and/or adult education certifications preferred

TRAVEL:
Up to 25% travel.  Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for meetings and events.
