Overview:
The Learning and Development Specialist II is responsible for the development, delivery and administration of training programs including but not limited to; course design, budget, assessment, media, reporting, measurement, communications, and coaching. Provides creative and effective instruction on a diverse range of topics, ensuring consistency of training programs with Bank policy, strategy, goals, and culture. Establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships across the Bank and represents the Bank's Service Standards. Performs any function within scope of authority and expertise to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the development of the department’s strategic plan and provides ongoing forecasting and analysis to department management on upcoming training needs and recommendations.
- Plans and delivers existing and new training curricula for the Bank’s training programs within established time and scope parameters and toward pre-established outcomes in alignment with the Bank’s Strategic Plan.
- Performs initial and ongoing needs-assessments to ensure course content meets stated objectives and supports organizational and individual needs. Utilizes tools including but not limited to pre- and post-class surveys, evaluations, interviews, and gap analysis.
- Exercises informed judgment in selecting and recommending methods and techniques for training which can include pre-work, classroom facilitation, online learning, Lunch and Learn sessions, training reinforcement activities, and group/individual coaching.
- Recommends and administers budgets and schedules for areas of responsibility, including internal and external programs. Recommends outside vendors as appropriate. Creates Level 1-5 evaluations as needed. Analyses and reports results and recommends improvements based on analysis.
- Conducts and facilitates blended learning programs and courses.
- Creates a conducive learning environment and drives discussion during training sessions
- Delivers post-class support where appropriate in the form of individual coaching to increase the application of knowledge gained in training. Provide feedback to the attendee and manager on progress as appropriate.
- Conducts orientation sessions for new employees as needed
- Supports and leads other Bank training as required, including but not limited to; sales and customer service skills development, operations, core systems, technology, and branch banking, regulatory compliance, leadership, and management.
- Ensures full compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures, including vendor management.
- May assist as back up to administrator of Banks LMS
- Represents the Bank through active participation in community and industry organizations and events.
- Actively serve as a resource for Bank teams and employees in defined areas of responsibility.
- Refers sales opportunities to other departments or Bank affiliates in support of established objectives.
- Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in adult learning, instructional design, and development is preferred
Work Experience
- 3-5 years experience is required

- Demonstrated ability to support the Bank’s culture and strategic objectives through training development and coaching. Exemplary modeling and use of the Bank’s service skills.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver effective training, communications, and information resources for a range of job skills and professional development disciplines. Excellent understanding of distribution channels and Bank products and services.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present to a variety of audiences including senior management.
- Proven ability to review and analyze training metrics and make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies. Able to successfully build a logical case for training and convey recommendations in concise verbal and written management level communications.

Expected Pay Range: The expected annual pay range for this role is $45,122 to $74,451. This pay range is the annual salary we in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation paid may fluctuate higher or lower than the posted range and the range may be modified in the future due to several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, certifications, and qualifications, internal equity, adjustments to the requirements and responsibilities of the job, business needs, and economic and market data.
