Learning and Development Training Specialist Full Description

Overview: 
As a Learning & Development Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, delivering, and managing training initiatives across the organization. This includes overseeing the Learning Management System (LMS), developing and organizing training content, and creating structured training programs tailored to various job roles. You will coordinate and schedule training sessions, provide hands-on support and instruction for LMS users, and facilitate both in-person and virtual training to ensure employees are effectively trained.
 
Salary range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually
 
This is a great role for those that like variety in their role – you may spend your morning conducting a training webinar or training session and engaging directly with employees and your afternoon mapping role-based learning paths in the LMS ideal candidate is highly organized, passionate about building and improving training programs, and skilled at managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences is essential. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Manage programs, learners, and training assignments within LMS365.
  • Maintain accurate training records and generate reports on training activities, attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Provide administrative support for training programs, including content preparation, scheduling, and delivery coordination.
  • Troubleshoot LMS and training delivery issues to ensure a smooth learning experience.
  • Collaborate with trainers and team members to support the successful execution of training programs.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining training materials such as job aids, demo videos, e-learning modules, webinars, and quick reference guides.
  • Travel: Approximately 15%, primarily in our Northeast territory
 
Qualifications: 
  • Prior experience supporting a training or L&D function, including training coordination, basic facilitation (webinars & instructor-led), and administration of related learning management systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Digital Communication, Human Resources, Education, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning content creation tools required (Learn365 preferred)
  • Prior project management experience with strong organizational & time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, emphasizing Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; ability to quickly learn and assimilate new systems and technology.
  • Familiarity working within a large/complex business organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail & follow through, requiring minimal direct supervision to complete work.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues related to training delivery.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel as needed (approximately 15%)
  • Hybrid work environment with a mix of onsite and remote work.
