Position OverviewThe Learning & Development Program Manager plays a key role in designing, delivering, and managing learning programs that align with business goals, support career growth, and enhance employee engagement. This role blends project management, content creation, and training facilitation to execute initiatives under Upchurch University’s four learning pillars: 1. Upchurch Unique 2. Business Acumen 3. Industry Technical 4. Environmental Health & Safety The Specialist will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization—field, office, and executive—to ensure programs are impactful, accessible, and aligned with company priorities.
Key Responsibilities - Curate, design, and develop engaging content in multiple formats (e.g., workshops, e-learning, microlearning) that meet business and employee needs, including onboarding, technical skills, leadership development, safety, and compliance training.
- Facilitate interactive, results-oriented learning sessions across diverse audiences.
- Track training projects from ideation through completion, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes on schedule.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and momentum across shared projects.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company priorities and L&D trends to ensure initiatives are innovative and support long-term goals and culture.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts to assess skill gaps and to collaborate on learning solutions that align training to workforce needs.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure employees have access to relevant, high-quality resources.
- Track and report on training effectiveness using assessments, feedback, and business KPIs, and use data analytics to continuously improve learning experiences.
- Promote inclusivity and accessibility in all learning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in Learning & Development, ideally in construction, trades, or related industries.
- Proficiency with LMS platforms (e.g., UKG, Cornerstone) and e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint).
- Strong project management skills; experience with tools such as Asana or similar.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel between offices and job sites as needed.
