Brown & Brown is seeking Learning and Development Specialist to join our growing team!
  
The Learning and Development Specialist leads the design and development of effective instructional solutions that support organizational learning goals. This role collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, and subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and create engaging, instructionally sound materials. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining multimedia learning assets, including web‑based courses, videos, and facilitator and participant guides that align with adult learning principles and promote skill development across the organization.
  
How You Will Contribute:  
  • Conduct learning needs analyses for assigned projects to identify performance gaps, audience characteristics, and instructional requirements.
  • Define clear and measurable learning objectives that align with organizational goals and guide the design of instructional solutions.
  • Design and develop learning experiences across multiple modalities, including on‑demand eLearning, virtual instructor‑led training (vILT), and live in‑person instructor‑led sessions, ensuring alignment with adult learning principles.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, cross‑functional partners, and subject matter experts to co-create effective, engaging learning solutions and ensure content accuracy throughout the design process.
  • Manage project tasks, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure learning solutions are completed on schedule and meet defined quality standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through assessments, surveys, learner analytics, and stakeholder feedback, and recommend improvements based on data.
 
Skills & Experience to be Successful: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design, eLearning, Digital Learning, Learning/Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a directly related role, creating and designing learning solutions that align with adult learning principles.
  • Proficient in eLearning development tools, including Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360, and similar authoring platforms.
  • Experience in Property & Casualty, Employee Benefits, Commercial Lines, or Personal Lines insurance preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills to work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems. Experience with Cornerstone SBX (formerly Saba Cloud) is helpful.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn from experience and apply that learning to perform successfully under new or first-time conditions.
  • Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy under direction from the Learning & Development Leader.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Pay Range$60k - $65k Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
