Job Description
The Corporate Support Manager leads strategic and day-to-day operations of corporate underwriting for the station, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with FCC regulations and public media standards. This role is responsible for maximizing underwriting revenue through direct sales, team leadership, and systems implementation across multi-platform environments.
The ideal candidate brings a data-driven and collaborative approach to building client relationships, coaching sales staff, and innovating revenue streams. The manager will foster a culture of performance, inclusion, and continuous improvement within a dynamic, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment.
Regional and national travel is required for the purposes of conducting field research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, which may include overnights and weekends. The manager must have the ability and willingness to travel utilizing standard, commercial, and/or personal modes of transportation. Additionally, the ability to work nights and weekends, and participation in college or university programs when possible is necessary.
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field; or Bachelor's degree with experience equating to an advanced degree.
• Demonstrated success in media sales, sponsorships, or broadcast underwriting.
• Documented experience meeting or exceeding revenue goals through direct client relationships and strategic outreach.
• Proven experience using CRM systems and sales tracking tools to manage pipelines and performance.
• Familiarity with the dynamics of public media sponsorships and non-commercial funding.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring sales professionals to achieve performance goals.
• Strong knowledge of regional and national market trends, major industries, and decision-makers relevant to underwriting or media sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of developing compelling proposals and presentations.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards in a media or nonprofit environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a public broadcasting or nonprofit setting.
• Proven ability to develop integrated sales strategies across digital and traditional media platforms.
• Experience using data to drive sales decisions and monitor market penetration.
• Track record of identifying and implementing systems that improve efficiency and accountability in sales departments.
