General Description:
As the Manager, Global Benefits & Wellness for D2L, you will guide our company culture by creating and driving programs to improve the employee experience.
The Manager, Global Benefits & Wellness is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive benefits and wellness programs that support the health and well-being of employees globally. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with global regulations and policies and managing relationships with external vendors.
How You Will Make an Impact: Benefits/Wellness Administration
- Develop and implement global benefits and wellness programs that meet the needs of employees globally, including health, retirement plans, wellness initiatives and other programs that align with the company’s business objectives
- Manage the administration of benefit plans, including health, dental, vision, retirement and other programs globally
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in different regions, including reporting and filing requirements
- Serve as the subject matter expert on benefit and wellness trends and best practices
- Develop and execute communication and education plans to educate employees on benefits and wellness programs
- Manage relationships with external vendors, including benefits providers, brokers, and consultants
- With the Senior Director, Total Rewards and Operations, develop and implement wellness programs that promote employee wellbeing and support the company’s culture of wellbeing
- Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of benefits and wellness programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Partner with People and Culture and other stakeholders to ensure that benefits and wellness programs are integrated with other People and Culture programs and initiatives
- Manage the budget for benefits and wellness, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment to the company's objectives
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for program improvements and innovations
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 5+ years’ experience in employee benefits plan design and administration
- Expert knowledge in Wellness program initiatives
- Strong project management experience
- Experience with laws, regulations and government policy related to benefit programs
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, writing and negotiation skills
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office programs with deep knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills

Education Recommendations:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus.
The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.
Base Salary Range
$95,000—$110,000 CAD
