About the role:
The Senior Manager of Training and Development is a key leader within the integrated Human Resources team, responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining enterprise-wide learning initiatives across both Do it Best and True Value. This role will drive the development of training strategies that align with organizational goals, support leadership development, enhance team member engagement, and build a culture of continuous learning within the combined organization. This role leads the centralized training team, driving alignment across member, retailer, and internal learning programs. This role ensures a unified approach to training that advances business priorities, supports dealer success, and fosters organizational development.

Responsibilities include:Learning Strategy and Program Development
Develop and execute a comprehensive training and development strategy aligned with organizational priorities.Design, implement, and evaluate leadership development programs, onboarding, technical training, and professional development opportunities.Introduce innovative learning solutions (e-learning, blended learning, coaching, mentoring) that serve a geographically dispersed workforce.

Integration and Change Management
Lead efforts to harmonize training programs and practices across Do it Best and True Value.Partner with fellow HR leaders, business leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with organizational transformation goals.Serve as a change champion by embedding learning into the culture during the integration process.

Talent Development and Succession Planning
Support succession planning by identifying and addressing leadership and skill gaps.Partner with Talent Management to build career pathways and employee growth opportunities.Measure training effectiveness and impact on performance, retention, and organizational capability.

Team Leadership and Collaboration
Manage and develop a team of training professionals and external partners.Collaborate with senior leaders to tailor training solutions to business needs.

Servant leadership
Actively supports and facilitates the professional and personal development of team members. Fosters open communication, trust, and mutual respect among team members. Empowers team members by delegating tasks and responsibilities, providing guidance and support, and encouraging initiative and autonomy.

Education and experience:
Desired:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a relevant fieldPreferred:Training and development certification(s); including but not limited to Lean Six Sigma, Clifton Strengths
