Description
Minimum qualifications:
- 3+ years of curriculum design, project management, or relevant work experience
- Up to 10% travel as needed
- Experience influencing and providing strategic pushback to leadership on training initiatives, timelines, and resource allocation while maintaining collaborative partnerships
- Proficiency conducting needs assessments and translating business requirements into actionable training strategies
- Experience using project management tools and methodologies to track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure successful project outcomes
- Experience applying the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to guide training program development and ensure systematic, effective learning solutions
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
Preferred qualifications:
- ATD Certification
- Instructional Design experience

About the job:
The Manager – Training Design manages a team of learning professionals providing employee development support to designated areas. Ensures delivery of training solutions that meet business unit needs and align with organizational strategies. Adapts learning plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges while working closely with specialized HR functions. Provides guidance to team members in developing and implementing training initiatives that support business objectives and enhance employee skills.
Core accountabilities / key responsibilities:
Design
- Translates the business requirements into the learning solutions commensurate with performance, regulatory, and collective bargaining agreement requirements
Delivery (and Logistics)
- Executes processes to ensure training programs are timely, of high quality and within budget.
- Manages shared training service resources, distribution of materials, facility and equipment, enrollment and training tracking.
Technology and Systems
- Drive implementation and adoption of learning technologies with users
- Collaborates with learning technology leaders to ensure accurate tracking of courses in Learning Management System
Assessment & Metrics
- Ensures test administration and use of test results conform to company policies and legal requirements.
- Diagnoses required competencies and assesses current capabilities for curriculum development
Business Partnership and Support
- Partner with leaders to prioritize curricula design and development, testing and evaluation
The base pay range for this role is $102,220.00 to $133,194.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
