The Role in Brief:
Marketing Automation Manager
As our business evolves the technology that powers our enrollment and advancement marketing products, we need a team of talented individuals to develop, maintain, and execute responsive marketing campaigns. This role serves as the primary technical specialist on campaign logic and setup in Acquia Campaign Studio.

This position will ideally be based in Richmond, VA or Washington D.C.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Craft and deliver automated marketing campaigns based on EAB marketing best practices and standards
  • Work with in-house creative, strategy, and account teams to develop campaigns and segmentation
  • Assume ownership for the end-to-end process of campaign creation; including but not limited to: 
    • working with business stakeholders, 
    • creating lists, 
    • creating and updating emails, 
    • updating and quality assurance of emails, landing pages, campaigns, 
    • creating simple and complex workflows, and 
    • ensuring accurate tracking and management of work
  • Implement responsive email marketing campaigns and templates that utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other technologies as needed
  • Execute on daily assigned operational tasks, according to best practices and service line agreements
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to templates, responsive design, email testing, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as required.
  • Stay current on responsive marketing best practices around coding, design, and testing of email campaigns.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Comprehensive knowledge and 2-4 years’ experience working with marketing technologies and tools
  • Basic knowledge of responsive design systems and creation of assets 
  • Strong understanding of Marketing Enrollment Solutions marketing campaigns and systems
  • Strong attention to detail inclusive of an editorial eye, with an excellent command of type and editing
 
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Experience working with an enterprise marketing automation tool (preferably Acquia Campaign Studio)
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and support services communication skills
  • Passion for email development or digital marketing
  • Experience using e-mail delivery tools (Litmus, Return Path, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot campaign coding problems and to develop solutions

Compensation: 
The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $60,000 - $72,000 year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.
