About the Epicenter The Impact & Prosperity Center at the University of Utah is the first of its kind residential community dedicated to impact and prosperity, an interdisciplinary approach that combines business, economics, and policy to turn ambitious ideas into tangible realities. The Epicenter offers unparalleled programming that draws on the collective expertise and passion of students, thought leaders, and practitioners to empower the next generation of changemakers. Program offerings will include an impact and prosperity speaker series, solve-a-thons, purpose driven socials, impact investing pitches, case competitions, film screenings, music nights, and more. Position Overview The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter team seeks an experienced, energetic, independent, and detail-oriented Communications Manager to spread the word about the new, first-of-its kind residential community known as the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter. The Communications Manager will be responsible for leading marketing and communications for the residential community. This position will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing a wide range of marketing/communications campaigns, including physical marketing material, website content development, social media, newsletters, and other awareness-raising campaigns. Candidates must be proficient at performing a variety of writing, design, and project management tasks while using good judgment and strong interpersonal skills to plan and execute marketing/communications strategies. Candidates must be adaptable to an evolving organizational structure. Candidates must demonstrate ability to utilize traditional and electronic publishing technologies to produce communications that implement project objectives. | Minimum Qualifications |
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
Senior Supervisor, Marketing Communications Management: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
Manager, Marketing Communications Management: Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience. |
